Belle Mirrorverse Blister Card

The Explorer Mage

Objective The objective of this project was to design an illustration to showcase the character within the toy blister package Tools Used Photoshop, Illustrator, Clip Studio Paint

I started the design process by using my camera to capture various action poses of the toy to find one that might inspire me. Because of Belle’s role as a mage in the Mirroverse series, the strongest pose Ifound was one that showcased the toy’s staff clearly, and had somemovement to her arms and legs. I then brought my reference imageto Photoshop and began the sketch the toy in my personal style.

Using custom noise brushes in Illustrator, subtle shading was added for depth and texture. Because the characters’ enchanted staff is such an iconic part of their design, I also added some magical light emanating from it. This not only creates a focal point, but also blends seamlesslyinto the rest of the illustration. Finally, different blending overlays were added to the final illustration to soften and unify the overall ook. The end result is a stylized, eye-catching illustration thatpromotes the toy blister package.
